37th Annual Kids Helping Kids Swim Marathon 🏊‍♀️

🌊 Firestone Swimming Presents: 37th Annual Kids Helping Kids Swim Marathon 🏊‍♀️

📅 Saturday, November 1st | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📍 Firestone High School Natatorium

For nearly four decades, Firestone Swimming has proudly supported Akron Children’s Hospital through our Kids Helping Kids Swim Marathon. Since 1989, our swimmers have raised over $208,000 to help fund vital hospital projects like:

  • Renovations for patient treatment and pre-op rooms
  • Equipment for the Pediatric Orthopedic and Cardiology units
  • The in-patient rehabilitation center and outpatient rehab clinic
  • A tutoring program for oncology patients

This year’s marathon continues our commitment to the 2nd year of a five-year, $25,000 pledge supporting tutoring for children undergoing cancer treatment.

Falcon alums still making waves

WEST AKRON — Current and past members of the Firestone Community Learning Center’s swim team came together for some friendly competition at the school’s natatorium Dec. 23 for the team’s annual Alumni Swim Meet.

Shown below, swimmers take their mark for the 50-meter breaststroke event.

It was a night of team spirit for Firestone senior Sal Pietrosanti, junior Matt Cymerman, Cullen Young from the Class of 2024, Sam Kmet from the Class of 2023 and freshman Carter Young.

We’re thrilled to kick off another exciting swim season with our 2024-2025 Schedule! This year is all about dedication, teamwork, and community support as we cheer on our athletes in every meet. With each stroke and every turn, our swimmers represent the heart and spirit of Firestone Swimming.

  • Senior Night: Join us for our Senior Night celebration on Jan 21st at Firestone. It’s a special evening dedicated to honoring the commitment and achievements of our graduating swimmers.

🌊 Firestone Swim Team’s 36th Annual Swim Marathon: Kids Helping Kids! 🌊

We are thrilled to announce our 36th Annual Swim Marathon in support of Akron Children’s Hospital, and this year, it’s more special than ever! This event, called Kids Helping Kids, showcases the dedication and heart of our amazing swimmers who are raising funds to support children in need.

🗓 Date: November 2, 2024
⏰ Time: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Alumni Swim: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
📍 Location: Firestone High School Natatorium

We’re calling on all Firestone Swim Team alumni to dive in and swim from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM to show your support for the team and the community. Let’s come together to celebrate the legacy of Firestone swimming while making a difference for Akron’s children.

How to participate:

  • Donate: Help us reach our fundraising goals by donating here
  • Join Us: Alumni swimmers, lace up your suits, bring your families, and swim with us! The Marathon is open to any and all to come watch and cheer on the Firestone Swimmers from 6am-6pm.
